Who We Are

My first experience in jewelry making was at the age of 13. I worked with a prominent local jewelry who taught me how to fabricate, solder, and polish in precious metals. I spent a 9 months falling madly in love with the process of jewelry making.

As a young adult I pursued my interests in the arts, studying photography, and exploring numerous art mediums. I continued to pursue my love of jewelry making, using beads and found elements to create pieces for friends and family. I always yearned to play with fire and metal and dreamed of one day having my own jewelry business.

When I returned to St. Croix in 2014 I knew I needed to return to the world of metalsmithing. I spent a few years working as a bench jeweler and in 2020 I took a huge leap and opened my jewelry business. Over the last few years I have slowly worked on creating a brand that exemplifies my love of home and my respect for my ancestors who carved a deep path that has led to my successes. 9th Generation is a place where I explore my passions for metal and stone, and infuse the love of my culture into wearable art.
